This policy explains the limited licensing and payment data Codepack processes, why it is processed, and what we do not collect.
What We Collect
Purchase and contact data
Email address, username, PayPal order identifiers, and transaction records needed to complete your purchase and deliver your license.
License-security data
License key, short-lived auth-grant records, hashed device fingerprint, extension version, platform-related metadata, and timestamps used to activate your license and prevent abuse.
Support communications
Email messages you send to support, refund, or privacy contacts so we can respond to your request.
What We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect source code, file names, prompts, repository contents, or other customer project content for licensing.
- We do not store payment card numbers on our own servers.
- We do not sell personal data or use license-security metadata for advertising.
How We Use Data
- To create and deliver license keys after PayPal confirms payment.
- To validate the hosted
/codepackAuth/flow and return a short-lived signed auth grant back to Codepack. - To verify one active device per license and send re-verification emails when a new device is detected.
- To detect fraud, enforce license limits, and investigate refund or support requests.
Payments and Email Delivery
Payments are processed by PayPal. Transactional license and device-verification emails are delivered through Resend using a verified nikolasifyart.com sender identity.
Retention and Security
We retain only the data needed to operate the paid license service, meet legal obligations, and investigate abuse. Reasonable technical and operational safeguards are used, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
